Singing the national anthem, twice!

Concluding Sunday

Today was the last day of the Youth conference. Last night the people that lead the working groups, took all the conclusions of the working groups, and put them together in one big document. This will serve as a general declaration with all the most important conclusions of the conference.

After singing the national anthem for the second time (which we hummed along), all the youth leaders got to react to the document. The reactions were generally very positive, so we think everybody can look back to a successful conference. It was good to see the young people from different parties work together to empower democracy and increase youth participation in Guatemalan politics.

In the afternoon we raced off to Antigua, and saw the old marketplace, which was very nice.
