Meeting the 'social-liberal' party!

Exchanging views..

After travelling back to Guatemala City, we rushed over to the headquarters of UCN, the social-liberal political party of Guatemala.

Although they are fairly new, they have many enthusiastic activists and they just moved into a large office. We exchanged views on the Dutch and Guatemalan political situation, more specifically on differences in campaigning and having independent media to work with. It was a very interesting meeting. The UCN and NIMD also plan to have a joint visit to the Netherlands, where five young members will travel to the Netherlands to interact with the young activist in the there. We are looking forward to welcoming them!

Tomorrow we will meet the governing party and its young members, the UNE, in the national palace. They are focusing on alternative means of communication and we will surely have a fruitful discussion and exchange of thoughts.
